How we handle your data.

last updated February 2026 · short version: we barely collect any

This is a personal project, not a corporation. We collect as little data as possible and we do not sell anything to anyone. Here is exactly what happens when you use this site.

What we collect

Email (newsletter)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored by Buttondown, our newsletter provider. We use it to send you updates about new guides, tools, and blog posts. That is it.

  • You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
  • We never share, sell, or rent your email to anyone.
  • We do not do targeted advertising or tracking-based marketing.

Comments

When you post a comment on a blog post or guide, we store your chosen display name and comment text. We also store a cryptographic hash of your IP address for spam prevention. We never store your raw IP address. Comments are publicly visible.

  • You can request comment removal via Discord or the contact form.
  • We never share commenter data with third parties.

Analytics

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect basic, anonymised analytics: page views, country-level location, browser type. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking scripts. No cookies are set for tracking purposes.

Gallery and content

All content on this site is static and served from Cloudflare's CDN. No user data is collected when you browse guides, blog posts, or the gallery.

What we do not do

  • We do not use tracking cookies.
  • We do not run retargeting ads.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not share your information with third parties, except Buttondown for email delivery.
  • We do not collect personal information beyond what you voluntarily provide.

Myosia and your companion

Myosia is self-hosted. It runs on your machine, on your own keys, through your own Cloudflare account. Your conversations, memory, and voice notes never touch our infrastructure, because there is no path for them to reach it. We could not read your data if we wanted to, and we designed it that way deliberately.

Third-party services

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
  • Request deletion of your email from our newsletter list.
  • Ask us what data we hold about you. Spoiler: just your email, if you subscribed.

This policy may be updated occasionally. We will note the date at the top when it changes. We are not going to suddenly start harvesting your data, that is not who we are.
